Sample type: Frozen serum

Sample type: Refrigerated serum   Sample collection conditions for ionized calcium  A centrifuged primary tube should be sent immediately cooled down to 4°C. A single tube must be sent for this determination. It must be vacutainer to keep empty. Stable sample 4 hours without centrifuge. Temperature variations are not advised. Once centrifuged without uncapping, samples are stable for 70 h at 4ºC. Send in an individual bag plus a note indicating ionized calcium.
