      * Histoplasmosis infection caused by Histoplasma capsulatum, which has a worldwide distribution but is a particular problem for the central and southeastern United States and certain regions of Central and South America. By our technique can detect two precipitins in the serum of a patient directed against antigens "M" and "H". The antibodies against "M" are the first to appear in acute pulmonary histoplasmosis and forms the basis of a specific immunodiagnostic, while the antigen-antibody "H" appear later and less often, and their presence is often related to extrapulmonary dissemination
