Hemoglobin A1c (NGSP): Less than 5.7%
Hemoglobin A1c (IFCC): Less than 39 mmol/mol

Note: HbA1c levels below 5.7% (less than 39 mmol/mol) are considered normal. Values between 5.7% and 6.4% (39 to 47 mmol/mol) are considered prediabetes criteria (a risk factor for progression to diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease). Values greater than or equal to 6.5% (48 mmol/mol) are considered diagnostic of diabetes mellitus. (ADA Criteria, 2024).
