Test code: 2491
Effective update from 07/02/2024
Dear colleagues and collaborators,
We remind
you that, as we communicated last 19th of January of 2024, the sample
indicated for Proinsulin analysis is Frozen Plasma-EDTA.
The serum
sample is not the sample of choice for this determination anymore, for the
reasons stated in this mail, so it should no longer be delivered. We ask you to
take note of the changes and pass them on to anyone who may be interested.
Since it has been detected in the laboratory that serum samples are still being received for proinsulin analysis, we will temporarily include in the reports a note for the correct interpretation of the results obtained when serum samples are analyzed:
This note
will appear in the reports until 01/03/2024, considering that, from this
date, only EDTA Plasma samples will be received for this determination and the
note will no longer be necessary.
The current version of the test is 13, adding this note will cause to change it to version 14.
We thank
you in advance for your collaboration.
