Technique: Cell culture (24 hours without stimulation and/or 72 hours stimulated with TPA (tetradecanoylphorbol acetate) or PHA (phytohemagglutinin), depending on diagnostic orientation). G-Banded Chromosomal Analysis (2020). Resolution level: 400-550 bands. Minimum number of metaphases studied: 20.
Limitations: This result does not include the findings interpreted as variants of normality (European Cytogeneticists Association (ECA) http://www.eca.eu/EN/GUIDELINES.html) and is subject to the limitations of this type of study. , mainly the absence of growth of pathological cells, the possible non-detection of some mosaics and small structural alterations.
This report must be accompanied by the image of the corresponding karyotype and must be interpreted within the clinical context of the patient and according to medical criteria.

             4. Methodology                                                                                             Cell culture, with or without stimulation with TPA (tetradecanoylphorbol acetate) or PHA (phytohemagglutinin), depending on diagnostic orientation*. 5. Limitations and recommendations
             - This result is issued following the criteria of the European Cytogeneticists Association (ECA),http//www.e-c-a.eu/EN/GUIDELINES.html).
             - This study does not include chromosomal findings interpreted as normal variants and is subject to the limitations of this type of study, mainly the absence of growth of pathological cells, the possible non-detection of some mosaics and small structural alterations.
             - The guidelines indicate that the conventional karyotype is not the most recommended analysis in cases of MM, although it can be performed to complete the study if there is a sufficient sample (Multiple Myeloma Guideline of the Spanish Group, 2021).
